The multidimensional poverty rate in Vietnam has fallen to below 1% this year, the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) reported at its year-end review conference held in Hanoi on December 27.
The multidimensional poverty rate in Vietnam will reduce to 2.93% in 2023, a drop of 1.1 percentage points compared to last year, according to the Government’s report on the implementation of the national programme on sustainable poverty reduction.
The multidimensional poverty rate in Vietnam reduced from 9.9 % in 2016 to 4.5 % in last year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO) under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
