Key lawmakers to discuss preperations for year-end session of National Assembly
VOV.VN - The Standing Committee of the National Assembly is scheduled to hold its 47th session in Hanoi on July 10 to examine preparations for the year-end sitting of the legislature.

Among other things, key lawmakers will review and approve resolutions on organising and operating social insurance and unemployment insurance for 2025-2027, amendments to the Standing Committee’s working regulations, and the allocation of the 2026 state budget estimates. They will also consider adjustments to the 2025 legislative programme of the legislature.
with regard to the supervisisory work, reports related to policies on developing high-quality human resources and citizen petitions over recent months will be presented for feedback.
The session will also consider the Prime Minister’s proposal to appoint Vietnamese Ambassadors to several countries and conduct a review of the recent 9th sitting of the legislature.
This meeting is a crucial preparation step to ensure the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly is effective and meets the socio-economic development and legislative requirements for 2025.
At its recent session lasting for more than a month, the National Assembly passed 34 laws, accounting for 52% of the total laws adopted during the entire term, and 14 legal resolutions, alongside reviewing six draft laws. Notably, it approved a Resolution on amendments and supplements to several articles of the 2013 Constitution, laying a solid legal foundation for reorganising the two-tier local government structure.
It approved a resolution to shorten the term of the current 15th national legislature and local People’s Councils (2021–2026). It at the same time established the National Election Council, electing and approving key leadership positions in preparation for general elections on March 15, 2026.
