VOV.VN - Vietnamese wrestler Pham Huynh Minh Hieu, a young wrestler from Long An province, has made history by claiming a Gold Medal in the beach wrestling 90kg weight category at the 2025 U17 & U23 Asian Wrestling Championships.

VOV.VN - The 2025 U17 and U23 Asian Wrestling Championships kicked off on June 18 at The Grand Ho Tram in Xuyen Moc district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, marking a milestone in Vietnam’s sporting history as the country hosts a continental wrestling championship for the first time.

VOV.VN - Vietnam will play host to the U17 and U23 Asian Wrestling Championships 2025 for the first time, scheduled to take place in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province from June 16 to 28.

Vietnamese wrestlers dominated the 2023 Southeast Asian Wrestling Championships which concluded in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on December 10, clinching the top position with 26 gold medals.
