Fire rips through fruit barn in Tien Giang

According to local eye witnesses, the Kim Ha fruit barn, owned by Mr Nguyen Van Trung and located in Thong hamlet, Hoa Hung commune, Cai Be district, erupted in flames at 3:30 pm as the owner of the fruit barn and local residents tried and failed to extinguish the blaze.

After the fire alarm was raised, fire engines and dozens of firefighters were mobilized to the scene to tackle the blaze.

As the fruit barn contained a number of flammable materials, it took fire crews nearly 2 hours to bring the inferno under control.

There were no report of fatalities caused by the fire but the cause of the incident is still under investigation.
