As an active and responsible member of the United Nations and the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), Vietnam has continued to uphold and committed to fulfilling its international obligations under the United Nations space treaties, including the Outer Space Treaty and the Rescue Agreement.

The Vietnamese version of the archival publication “Chuyen du hanh vu tru lich su” (Historic outer space journey) debuted in Hanoi on April 12, marking the 40th anniversary of the first Vietnamese austronaut Pham Tuan’s flight to space and the 60th anniversary of Yu.A.Gagarin’s spaceflight.
