Laos and Vietnam cooperate in arresting wanted criminals
VOV.VN - Vietnamese police in collaboration with their Lao counterparts have arrested two Vietnamese citizens who had a special dangerous wanted warrant for illegally buying and selling drugs.

According to initial information into the case, the police of Luang Namtha province in Laos had discovered two Vietnamese nationals showing suspicious behaviours.
Through investigation affairs, they knew both suspects - Tong Van Phanh, 39, and Lo Van Hai, 31, - reside in Hua Na village of Muong Ang district, Dien Bien province, northern Vietnam.
The verification results show that the two suspects had been on the list of special dangerous wanted subjects of the Hanoi police for illegally buying and selling drugs since 2022.
On November 4, the Lao police in collaboration with their Dien Bien counterparts launched an operation arresting the two Vietnamese men when they were hiding in the hut in Laos.
The two suspects were later transferred to the Dien Bien police station to undergo a further investigation.
