The event was attended by the Lao Deputy Prime Minister, Samsavad Lengsavath, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos, Ta Minh Chau and high ranking officials from both countries.

Situated in the centre of the Lao capital, the complex has 50 rooms and a number of restaurants serving Lao, Vietnamese, and other Asian food as well as European cuisine.

The US$10 million Plaza also has 2,000 square metres of office space for rent.
