Director of the National Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nguyen Viet Tien reported that the successful rate of infertility treatment in Vietnam is as high as 90 percent.

He made the announcement at an international conference on infertility and reproductive support held in Hanoi on September 11.

Director Tien said in the in-vitro fertilisation method - the last phase of infertility treatment - 30-35 percent of cases succeeded in the first and second attempt.

Vietnam’s technique to treat infertility is now meeting international standards, Mr Tien said.
