The signing took place during the visit by Nghiem Huu Thanh, Director of the Vietnam Central Hospital for Acupuncture to Mexico from October 11-15.
Speaking at a reception earlier, Alberto Anaya Gutiérrez, Senator and General Secretary of the Mexican Labour Party (Partiro del Trabajo), described the work of the Ho Chi Minh Centres for Acupuncture in Mexico as proof of close cooperation between the Mexican Labour Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam.
He expressed his hope that Vietnam will help Mexico to build two new acupuncture centres for treatment of drug addicts and disabled children in Monterrey.
Over the past ten years, the Ho Chi Minh centres have treated 10,000 patients and the Vietnam Central Hospital for Acupuncture has sent 40 doctors to Zacatecas and its neighbouring states to treat 6,500 patients.
