World’s top travel magazine features Son Doong Cave’s extraordinary natural wonder
VOV.VN - Renowned travel publication Travel + Leisure has devoted an in-depth feature to Son Doong Cave, describing it as the largest cave on Earth, home to its own unique climate system, complete with underground jungles, rivers, and clouds.

According to the Travel+Leisure editorial team, Vietnam is home to the world's largest cave. It's so vast that it has its own weather system and could fit an entire city block of skyscrapers inside. Now, only one tour operator allows travelers to explore this magical destination.
Son Doong Cave was discovered in 1990 by a Vietnamese man named Ho Khanh. The cave quickly garnered global attention, most notably clinching the Guinness World Record title of world’s largest cave in 2013.
The travel publication revealed that the cave is so massive it has its own climate zone. And it's so high there’s actually room for clouds to form from its own underground river. A city block of skyscrapers could actually fit within it, according to Google Arts & Culture.
The otherworldly site has turned into a stunning destination for adventurers, but the only way to experience it is through the tour operator, Oxalis, which runs a five-night Son Doong Expedition Tour.
