‘Why Vietnam’ tourism campaign launches

VOV.VN - In the run-up to the TET (Lunar New Year) holiday season the Vietnam Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has launched one of its largest marketing campaigns for 2016 to promote a trip across the country.

The campaign entitled – Why Vietnam – running through December 20, encourages those who have travelled to the country to submit film and other images of authentic experiences and activities shot on locations across the country, said Nguyen Thanh Huong, vice chair of VNAT.

The hope, said Huong, is that these images will inspire others to take a holiday to experience all the country has to offer.

Vietnam is packed full of incredible experiences that travellers can’t get anywhere else.

By showing the sheer diversity of activities right here on our doorstep, she said, VNAT wants to inspire people to book a trip to discover their own amazing moments, driving growth in tourism across Vietnam and other ASEAN nations.

In addition to having their photos shared, entrants will have an opportunity to win prizes and vouchers good for travel and accommodation at airlines, hotels, restaurants and other establishments throughout the country

The campaign duplicates similar campaigns sponsored by tourism agencies of countries around the globe and VNAT hopes to have similar success in driving not only the number of travellers but the amount of money they spend while on holiday.

More information about the campaign can be found at https://whyvietnam.com/en/home.
