New Scoot Air route to boost international tourism to Khanh Hoa

VOV.VN - Scoot Air, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), has announced the launch of its first direct air route connecting Singapore’s Changi Airport to Cam Ranh International Airport in south-central Khanh Hoa province, starting November 21.

In the initial phase, the airline will operate two services per week, with plans to increase to five weekly flights from January 2026 to meet rising travel demand.

This will be the first direct air route between Singapore and Cam Ranh, one of Vietnam’s top beach destinations. Along with Da Nang (Vietnam) and Kota Bharu (Malaysia), Cam Ranh is part of Scoot’s strategy to expand its Southeast Asian network.

The new route is expected to improve outbound access for Vietnamese travelers while opening up Khanh Hoa to more international tourists, particularly from Singapore and those transiting through Changi Airport.

With a tropical climate, scenic beaches, and a wide range of resort services, Khanh Hoa is steadily affirming its position on Vietnam’s coastal tourism map.

Founded in 2012, Scoot operates a modern fleet including the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Airbus A320/A321neo, and Embraer E190-E2, and serves destinations in Australia, China, and beyond.

In the first half of 2025, Khanh Hoa welcomed 6.2 million visitors, up 20.8% year-on-year, including over 2.6 million international arrivals, an increase of 12.3%. The province has set a full-year target of 11.8 million visitors and VND60 trillion in tourism revenue.
