Airlines to provide 3,000 extra flights for Tet
VOV.VN - The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has directed airlines to provide extra flights during the New Year and Lunar New Year (Tet) to cope with the forecast 20% rise in passenger numbers compared to last year.

Accordingly, there will be an extra 790 flights on the Noi Bai-Tan Son Nhat route, with Tan Son Nhat-Phu Bai adding 335 flights, Tan Son Nhat-Cam Ranh 324 flights, Tan Son Nhat-Da Nang 262 flights, Tan Son Nhat – Vinh 185 flights, and Tan Son Nhat-Tho Xuan 182 flights.
From January 30 to March 4, there will be more than 22,300 domestic flights (up 15%), offering passengers 4.1 million seats (up 19%), against the same period last year.
Presently there are more than 70% of seats on domestic flights available. The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam advises passengers to access information about flights and tickets on the official channels of airlines to avoid misinformation.
