Ten private social media groups involved in the illegal online sale of wildlife have been permanently removed from online platforms, as part of a campaign launched by Education for Nature Vietnam (ENV) to combat illegal wildlife trading, ENV announced on May 15.
A network of journalists on investigating and preventing of illegal wildlife trade made debut in Hanoi on June 13, aiming to help share information, strengthen capacity and coordinate in the implementation of communication activities, contributing to preventing the illegal trade and consumption of wildlife animals and related products in Vietnam.
A total of 70 rescued turtles were released back to the wild on July 12 at the Sao La Nature Reserve in the central province of Thua Thien – Hue, the biggest number of the species received here so far.
