VOV.VN - UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Ghada Fathi Waly has affirmed that the agency will work closely with Vietnam to ensure the successful organization of the signing ceremony for the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime also known as the Hanoi Convention, and to encourage its swift ratification and effective implementation.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria Tran Quoc Khanh introduced African countries to the upcoming signing ceremony for the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime in Hanoi while attending the African Regional Preparatory Meeting for the 15th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice held from April 8-10.
Vietnam welcomes the UN Ad Hoc Committee on Cybercrime’s adoption of the draft UN Cybercrime Convention as an important first step for the UN General Assembly to consider and adopt it, said Nguyen Minh Vu, Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.
