Vietnamese duo win triple gold at Dancesport Festival 2025
VOV.VN - Reigning SEA Games 31 champions Phan Hien and Thu Huong delivered an outstanding performance on home soil on July 10, securing three gold medals at the Dancesport Festival 2025, affirming their dominance and consolidating their status as the region’s top dancers.

Held for the first time in Vietnam, the Southeast Asian and Asian Dancesport Championship, part of the larger Dancesport Festival 2025, saw the Vietnamese duo shine brightly at the Military Region 7 Sports Arena in Ho Chi Minh City.
Cheered on by an enthusiastic home crowd, Phan Hien and Thu Huong swept the gold in three key categories - Latin 5-Dance All-Around, Solo Samba, and Solo Paso Doble.
Ranked in the world’s top 49 on the WDSF (World DanceSport Federation) chart, the pair lived up to high expectations, bringing glory to Vietnam and raising the bar for the local dancesport scene.
This year’s festival marks the largest dancesport event ever hosted in Southeast Asia. As of opening day, the competition had drawn over 4,000 registrations from dancers representing more than 37 countries and territories, alongside over 100 national and international judges.
Organised by the Vietnam Gymnastics Federation in collaboration with Khanh Thi – KTA King The Art, the event runs from July 9 to 13. It serves as a major milestone in Vietnam’s global dancesport journey, showcasing the country’s organisational capabilities, international integration, and image as a dynamic, creative nation ready to step onto the world stage.
