Vietnam win nine golds at SEA bodybuilding championship
VOV.VN - Local athletes won nine gold, three silver, and four bronze medals at the Southeast Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships 2023, with the regional sporting event concluding in Batam, Indonesia, on June 12.
During the final day of the competition, Nguyen Minh My triumphed in the men’s 80kg category.
Furthermore, he won the men’s all-around champion and picked up the title for the most beautiful athlete of the tournament.
This comes after Bui Dac Phi Vu, Le Hong Phong, and Tran Bao Quoc Vuong brought home three gold medals in the men’s 55kg, 60kg, and 65kg, respectively.
Pham Ngoc Sy took a gold medal in the men’s classical bodybuilding (1.75 metres).
The other gold medals went to Tran Thi Thanh Tam and Nguyen Thi Kim Dung in the women’s classical bodybuilding for 1.60 metres and over 1.60 metres.
Nguyen Thi Cam Tu and Tran Bao Quoc Vuong also bagged a gold medal in the mixed couple’s bodybuilding.
The tournament, which began on June 8, attracted the participation of more than 200 athletes from across the world.
