Victory Cup celebrates top athletes of 2015
(VOV) -Athletes who recorded outstanding results during 2015 had their accomplishments celebrated on January 15 by government officials, friends, family and other stakeholders.
At the annual Victory Cup Award presentation ceremony in Hanoi, Nguyen Le Cam Hien, 8, was crowned both Best Young Athlete and Most Popular Athlete thanks to her excellent performances in world championships throughout the year.

Swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien was chosen best female athlete for her impressive accomplishments that included winning over 21 medals at national and international swimming competitions.

Le Quang Liem, who ranks 33rd by the world chess federation, was named best male athlete, while Coach Vu Ngoc Loi was named best coach of the year and golden shooter Dang Thi Dong was presented a lifetime achievement award.
Best team title went to the Vietnam fencing team for their showing at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Singapore, where they brought home eight gold medals, two silver and one bronze.
