VFF, Liverpool FC to play tough tune up matches

VOV.VN - The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and representatives of the Liverpool Football Club announced on July 22 they have reached an agreement to play a couple of tune up matches to hone their skills.

The announcement was made at a press conference in Hanoi by Jonathan Kane, director of international business development at Liverpool FC. “I hope British young football players will train hard to prepare for upcoming tournaments,” he said.

VFF President Le Hung Dung in turn said he is looking forward to the match-ups and thinks it’s a great opportunity for the Vietnamese squad to get some much needed world-class experience and perfect their skills.
