US sports envoy programme visits Da Nang
Former US women’s national team footballer Linda Hamilton, who won the World Cup in 1991, and coach Lisa Berg had a training session with Vietnamese female footballers as part of the Sports Envoy programme in Da Nang on April 25.

The sport programme was rounded off in the central city with a football festival for 100 pupils of Da Nang’s SOS Children's Village and Nguyen Dinh Chieu school for visually impaired students.
The Sports Envoy programme is a global sports mentoring programme of the US Department of State. It mobilises professional athletes, coaches and administrators in a range of sports to engage underserved youth, particularly girls.-
