Nam qualifies for semi-finals of Bangkok Open for first time
VOV.VN - The nation’s top male tennis player Ly Hoang Nam successfully beat No.1 seed Alastair Gray of the UK to progress to the semi-finals of the Bangkok Open for the first time ever.

The first set saw Nam show great determination to record a stellar 6-4 win over his strong rival who stands at 256th place in the ATP rankings.
The Tay Ninh-born tennis player then went on to dominate the second set and was able to edge out the UK player to gain a 7-5 win. The match concluded with a score of 2-0.
With this good result, the Vietnamese player pocketed prize money of US$1,800 and earned 17 points.
Moving forward, Nam will face off against Dane Sweeny of Australia who ranks 341st in the ATP rankings.
The Bangkok Open Challenger ATP 50 is taking place in Thailand from August 22 to August 27, with total prize money of up to US$37,520 on offer.
