Granmaster Liem to compete at Prague International Chess Festival 2025
VOV.VN - Vietnamese grandmaster Le Quang Liem will head to Prague in June to compete in the 2025 Prague International Chess Festival.

According to the schedule, Le Quang Liem has been selected to participate in the Masters tournament, the festival’s most competitive event, which will take place from February 25 to March 7.
With an Elo rating of 2739, Le Quang Liem is ranked third in the Masters tournament.
The No.1 seed is Wei Yi from China, who holds the highest Elo rating at 2755.
Liem’s other opponents include Praggnanandhaa R from India, Keymer Vincent from Germany, Aravindh Chithambaram VR from India, Giri Anish from the Netherlands, Navara David from the Czech Republic, Shankland Sam from the United States, Nguyen Thai Dai Van from the Czech Republic, and Gurel Ediz from Turkey.
The tournament will be played in a round-robin format to determine the winner.
The Prague International Chess Festival was first established in 2017, though the inaugural edition of the festival was held in March 2019.
