FPT Play secures exclusive rights to ASEAN U23 Mandiri Cup™ 2025 in Vietnam
VOV.VN - FPT Play has officially acquired exclusive media and broadcasting rights for the fifth ASEAN U23 Mandiri Cup™ 2025 in Vietnam.
The digital TV provider will broadcast all matches from July 15 to 29 across its multi-platform system, including terrestrial, cable, satellite, IPTV, internet, mobile apps, social media, and public screenings.
To Nam Phuong, deputy general director of FPT Play, said the platform will accompany the national U23 squad on their journey, while allowing fans to follow their progress from local leagues to regional competitions.
Held biennially, the ASEAN U23 Mandiri Cup™ is a key event for football development in Southeast Asia. For Vietnam, defending the championship not only reaffirms its regional standing but also serves as preparation for the AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026 qualifiers and the 33rd SEA Games.
According to the draw announced by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) on May 30, Vietnam will play in Group B alongside Laos and Cambodia. Group A includes Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Brunei, while Group C features Thailand, Myanmar, and Timor Leste.
Teams will compete in a round-robin format, with the three group winners and the best second-placed team advancing to the semifinals on July 25. The final is set to take place at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on July 29.
Vietnam enters the tournament as the most successful team, having won back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023.
