European football clubs keep tabs on VN female footballer
VOV.VN - Several football clubs in France, Germany and Thailand are keeping their eyes open on Thanh Nha, a female player of the Vietnam national football team, thanks to her impressive performances displayed over recent years.
Most notably, a foreign club asked a middleman to contact Hanoi Watabe FC, where Nha is currently playing, to enquire about buying the contract of the 22-year-old girl.
According to the rumor, the club is willing to offer an attractive salary of up to US$5,000 per month for the female Vietnamese footballer.
The European club is believed to be Dijon FCO playing in the French national championship. Established in 2006, the club currently plays in the Division 1 Féminine, the highest division of women's football in France.
Nha’s teammate, top female striker Huynh Nhu, attracted the interest of several European club scouts before being offered contracts to play abroad three times.
She eventually signed a one-year contract with Portuguese team Lank and became the first Vietnamese female player to appear in European football.
