Whirlwind unroofs 130 houses in Ha Tinh

Le Quang Vinh, head of Huong Khe Department of Agriculture, said the huge whirlwind last for only 15 minutes, it damaged many houses and fruit trees in Huong Xuan and Phu Phong communes.

A large number of utility poles were collapsed, causing power cut for many hours, said Mr Vinh.

He added that the district has sent its staff members to the stricken villages to help the victims clean up and repair houses to stabilize their lives.
