Among the 10 projects that were submitted by Vietnamese students from six cities and provinces at this year’s event, only Long was able to claim a prize.
Last year, Vietnam attended the Intel ISEF 2018 with a total of eight projects, winning the third-place prize and one consolation prize.
This year, the event drew 1,842 students from 80 countries worldwide, who contributed a total of 1,431 projects.
The Intel ISEF is the world’s largest pre-college science competition and aims to boost the development of science through education whilst also providing an annual playground for young scientists to showcase their abilities.
