Vietnam tot up 43 awards at international maths competition

VOV.VN - A Vietnamese delegation comprising students from the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted won 43 awards at the 2018 Bulgaria International Mathematics Competition (BIMC) held in the city of Burgas recently.

The delegation pocketed 29 individual awards, including five gold, three silver, and 11 bronze medals and took 11 consolation prizes and 11 team awards, including three cups and one super cup.

Gold medals were won by five students, Do Quang Minh, Van Trong Khoi, Nguyen Le Duc Anh, Tran Binh Minh and Nguyen Ngoc Minh Duy. Do Quang Minh, with 120 marks, was one of the students to have scored the highest marks at the contest.

Participating at BIMC, Vietnamese students had a chance to challenge themselves with problems requiring mathematical reasoning and creativity.
