Vietnam-Japan student exchange programme in Nagasaki

VOV.VN - Four teachers and 26 high school students in Ho Chi Minh City will participate in a Vietnam-Japan student exchange programme set to transpire in the Japanese prefecture of Nagasaki from July 9-20.

The programme will give participants a chance to visit new energy plants and labs, experience industrial production in Nagasaki and attend model lectures in local universities. 

Addressing the working session with the Industry and Trade Association of Nagasaki on June 9, permanent Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem said he hopes that Nagasak will help the city in vocational training and human resources quality improvement to meet demand for local socio-economic development. 

Takushima Toshio, President of the association, said Nagasaki is strong in industry with high technological standard and has skilled engineers. 

The association desires to establish a solid relations between the two localities’ education and industry sectors, thereby increasing human resources for Vietnamese and Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises in the time ahead.

Nagasaki business representatives also pledged to launch cooperation programmes with Ho Chi Minh City’s vocational training establishments. 

The two sides consented to advance cooperation in industry, high-tech agriculture and fisheries processing.
