Two Filipino fishermen rescued after drifting out to sea
VOV.VN - Vessel KN 464 of the Vietnam Fisheries Resources Surveillance (VFRS) Division No.4 rescued a Filipino fisherman on November 9 while drifting in waters around the Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands.

The Filipino man, named Benjamin Abdulla said he and another fisherman had been knocked into the water by high waves following the engine on their fishing boat breaking down near Sinh Ton Dong island.
After receiving information regarding the incident, Vessel KN 464 launched a search and found that the 32-year-old fisherman as he was adrift near Song Tu Tay in the northernmost island of the archipelago.
The Filipino man was subsequently brought aboard the VFRS ship, with COVID-19 prevention rules strictly observed, and is now in a good condition.
Furthermore, another Filipino fisherman was also rescued by islanders of Song Tu Tay.
