Teams set off for Cambodia to seek martyr remains
VOV.VN - Military Zone 7 on November 7 assigned missions to the four search teams who will perform the task of searching for and collecting the remains of fallen Vietnamese volunteer troops and experts in Cambodia in the 2024 - 2025 dry season.

According to the plan, the southern province of Tay Ninh mobilised 86 people from Team K70 and Team K71, while the southern province of Binh Phuoc will send 30 people from Team K72. The southern province of Long An province also mobilised 45 people from Team K73.
Team K70 will carry out missions in Kampong Cham province and Tboung Khmum province, while Team K71 will launch searching work in Banteay Meanchey, Oddor Meanchey, and Seam Reap provinces.
Team K72 and K73 will undertake their tasks in the provinces of Kratie, Kampong Thom, Pailin, and Battambang.
Addressing the ceremony, Lieutenant General Tran Hoai Trung, political commissar of Military Zone 7, shared that over the past 23 years Military Zone 7 has collected more than 38,000 sets of martyrs’ remains in the military region and more than 11,000 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who lost their lives in Cambodia.
The four teams had managed to repatriate 574 sets of remains during the 2023 - 2024 dry season, he added.
At the ceremony, LT Gen. Trung also thanked specialised committees of the Cambodian provinces for creating favourable conditions for Military Zone 7 to complete its mission.
