Spanish national deported for illegal use of narcotics in Ho Chi Minh City
VOV.VN - A foreigner bearing Spanish nationality has been deported by the police of Vietnam after illegally using narcotics in Ho Chi Minh City.

R.L.J.L. was caught red handed on December 4 using spray paint to deface a wall at the Le Loi - Pasteur intersection in Ben Nghe Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
At the time of inspection by the local police’s task force, L. could not present his passport. A quick drug test revealed that L. tested positive for narcotics.
During the questioning, L. stated that entered Vietnam on December 1 for tourism and has since staying at a lodging facility on Pham Ngu Lao Street. He subsequently went to a market in the city centre to purchase eight spray paint cans to deface public areas.
The police then took L. to previously vandalized locations to rectify the damage. They also fined the lodging facility for failing to declare temporary residence or failing to update information about the foreigner’s stay as required by law.
L.’s acts have created a ripple effect, negatively influencing other foreigners who may engage in similar acts of graffiti and vandalism in public spaces, tarnishing public opinion and the city’s landscape.
