Six fishermen rescued at sea off the Quang Binh coast

The ship was captained by 50-year old Nguyen Xuan Hung from Hai Hau district in Nam Dinh province. The vessel was in distress in the eastern area, about 35 nautical miles away from Hon La island in Quang Binh province. The ship’s crew members had been fishing off the coast when the engine broke down.

Upon hearing the news of the adrift vessel, the Coast Guard Command immediately dispatched a rescue ship to initiate a search for the fishing boat.

On the morning of December 18, the fishing vessel with six fishermen aboard was rescued and their ship was safely towed to the port on Hon La island.
