Russia completes first-phase Gepard 3.9 frigate contract
(VOV) - The Voice of Russia reported Russia’s Zelenodolsk Shipyard has completed the first phase of building a Gepard 3.9 class frigate for the Vietnam People’s Navy.
A delegation from Vietnam’s Ministry of Defence joined representatives from Rosoboronexport Group and Zelenodolsk Shipyard recently appraised and approved the first phase of a contract to build two Gepard 3.9 frigates.

Zelenodolsk Shipyard has already built the hull and superstructure of the first frigate equipped with anti-submarine weapons.
Both sides also discussed issues relating to defence and technical cooperation.
