No Vietnamese victims in bomb attacks in Brussels

No Vietnamese were injured or killed in a series of bomb attacks in Brussels on March 22, according to Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium Vuong Thua Phong.

He told reporters from the Vietnam News Agency that the embassy made immediate contact with the host’s authorities, Vietnamese associations and students to provide updates on the situation.

He confirmed that as of the night of March 22 (local time), the embassy did not receive any information on Vietnamese victims.

In addition to continuously making contact with local authorities for updated information, the embassy warned Vietnamese citizens to increase their vigilance and strictly follow warnings from Belgian authorities, he said.

Any problems should be promptly reported to the embassy for necessary citizen protection measures, he added.
