Laos offers aid to victims of storm Damrey

At a handover ceremony on November 20, Lao deputy consul general to Da Nang, Intha Vong Pha Chanh, sympathised with the people of Phu Yen over the losses suffered due to storm Damrey. The aid demonstrates the close ties between Lao and Vietnamese people in such difficult situations, he said.

Huynh Tan Viet, Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee, thanked the Lao Government for its timely assistance to the people of Phu Yen, and pledged to deliver the aid swiftly.

In recent days, goods donated by Russia including sugar, condensed milk, canned fish and meat have been distributed among the local people.
