International arrest warrant for Vietnamese fraudster Le Khac Ngo

Ngo, 34, has been identified as an accomplice of Pho Duc Nam (alias Pips) in a case involving fraud, money laundering, and other related crimes. The criminal network defrauded over 2,660 individuals through fake forex trading platforms, amassing billions of Vietnamese Dong.

According to investigations, Ngo and Nam have since 2021 collaborated with an individual of Turkish nationality to establish numerous shell companies in Vietnam, creating a façade for fraudulent activities. They set up websites with English interfaces, masquerading as international trading platforms to lure investors. In reality, these sites were programmed to misappropriate participants’ funds.

Both Nam and Ngo, along with their accomplices, organized numerous seminars and online investment training courses promoting easy methods to make money through international securities. These events stimulated victims’ interest and motivated them to invest their money to participate.

Following an investigation, the Criminal Investigation Agency has prosecuted 31 suspects and identified 2,661 victims in the case involving TikToker Pho Duc Nam and Le Khac Ngo. The authorities have seized assets estimated at VND5,200 billion in this securities investment fraud scheme.

Ngo is a familiar name in the financial investment community. He built his personal image as a successful independent investor with over 13 years of experience in the market. He often shared stories about overcoming challenges. In a story, he said he started with a debt of over VND2 billion in his early 20s and later became a renowned financial advisor.

Ngo frequently posted photos and videos flaunting his lavish assets and sharing details about major investments. His social media channels garnered a significant number of followers.

Ngo is currently on the run. Authorities urged the suspect to surrender and return the stolen assets to receive leniency.
