Ho Chi Minh City police bust major cross-border drug ring from Cambodia
VOV.VN - The Ho Chi Minh City Police have dismantled a major drug trafficking ring that smuggled over 30 kg of narcotics from Cambodia into the city via the Southwest border route.

The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department had arrested 27 individuals involved in the illegal transport and sale of drugs in large quantities, the police said on March 8.
Following extensive surveillance and intelligence gathering, they said, authorities discovered the suspects had stored drugs in an apartment complex in Binh Chanh district. The ring leaders used subordinates and technology-based delivery services to distribute drugs to lower-level dealers and users.
After months of surveillance, the police then launched a pre-dawn raid on March 6 and arrested three ringleaders who were transporting the drugs into an apartment for repackaging and storage.
At the scene, more than 30kg of various kinds of drugs were seized, including three cakes of heroin, eight kg of methamphetamine, over 12kg of ketamine, tens of thousands of ecstasy pills, and hundreds of packages of liquid drugs.
Expanding the case, the police continued to track and arrest 24 additional suspects involved in selling the drugs.
Investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend all accomplices and crack down on related drug abuse cases.
