Initial statistics show that the storm destroyed more than 100 houses.
A number of houses and offices around the Lai Chau hydroelectric power project collapsed and the road leading to the plant was also damaged, which affected work at the project.
The Nam Nhun district People’s Committee and Son La-Lai Chau hydroelectric project management board have mobilised resources to help families and work units in the area repair houses and machinery.
