HCM City man dies of COVID-19, 67 deaths in Vietnam so far

VOV.VN - A 75-year-old man of Ho Chi Minh City has died of COVID-19 and other underlying illnesses, raising Vietnam’s total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 67.

The man suffered from diabetes (type II), hypertension, and dyslipidemia, the Ministry of Health said on June 21.

He tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus on June 14 and was transferred to Cu Chi field hospital for treatment.

Despite intensive treatment, including mechanical ventilation, antibiotics and anticoagulation, the patient died on June 20.

This is the 32nd COVID - related death Vietnam has recorded during the latest outbreak and the 67th fatality since last year.
