Hanoi to offer free COVID-19 vaccinations to residents aged 18 to 65
VOV.VN - The capital city is set to offer free COVID-19 vaccinations to citizens aged between 18 and 65, along with other priority groups, during the 2021- 2022 period.

The move is part of a plan signed by Chu Xuan Dung, vice chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, on May 7 regarding launching the COVID-19 vaccination drive in Hanoi for 2021 to 2022.
According to the plan, the capital’s primary target is to vaccinate 95% of its high-risk groups and people. In order to reach this goal, Hanoi must mobilise all forces from health facilities and medical training facilities to participate in the vaccination campaign.
The first priority group, as regulated in Government Resolution No 21/NQ-CP which was issued on February 26, includes frontline medical staff, army and public security officers, diplomatic officials, and customs officials, among others.
The second priority group is made up of local people aged between 18 and 65 who will be injected, depending on the availability of either imported or locally-produced COVID-19 vaccines.
The funding for the vaccination will come from the State and municipal budgets, organisations, individuals, as well as other legal sources.
