Hanoi relocates 1,362kg bomb retrieved from the Red River
VOV.VN - The Long Bien District Military Command of Hanoi, in coordination with relevant authorities, retrieved and relocated a bomb weighing approximately 1,362 kg from the Red River on October 24.

The bomb was discovered by local fishermen on October 21 at a location about 200m downstream from pillar No. 9 of the Long Bien Bridge spanning the Red River.
On hearing about the news, the Long Bien District Military Command immediately took measures to move the bomb closer to shore and mobilized militia forces from Ngoc Lam and Bo De wards to guard the site and ensure safety at the scene.
Through inspections, the bomb was identified as an M-118, weighing approximately 1,362 kg, with a length of 210cm and a diameter of 56cm.
The Long Bien District Military Command reported the incident to authorities and implemented safety measures to retrieve and relocate the bomb.
Earlier, on October 10, the Long Bien District Military Command, in coordination with relevant agencies, handled a similar type of bomb found near the location of the M-118.
