Grand parade marks 65th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory
VOV.VN - The northern province of Dien Bien hosted a ceremony and a grand parade on May 6 to mark the 110th anniversary of the establishment of Dien Bien province, 70 years of the founding of the provincial Party Committee, and the 65th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory.

During the nine-year resistance fought against the French colonists and US imperialists between 1945 and 1954, local militia made a great contribution to the victory at Dien Bien Phu on May 7, 1954. Alongside the Vietnamese army, they also contributed to the Great Victory of Spring 1975, the liberation of southern Vietnam, and ultimately national reunification. |
