Giant lotus lanterns light up for Buddha’s birthday
VOV.VN - Seven giant lotus lanterns were lit up on Xuan Huong lake on May 3 to mark Buddha’s 2561th birthday as part of activities of the 2017 Buddhist Culture Week.

The lanterns were positioned in the middle of Xuan Huong lake. Each is equipped with an independent electric generator.
According to the organising board, a vegetarian food festival will be held on May 4-6 during the event. The grand ceremony marking Buddha’s birthday will be held in Linh Son pagoda in the Central Highlands’ province of Lam Dong on May 10 by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Council.
