VOV.VN - Frigate Vendemiaire of the French Navy docked at Tien Sa Port in the central coastal city of Da Nang on April 11 to mark the beginning of its five-day visit to Vietnam.

Upon docking at Da Nang Port, Lieutenant Colonel Drouelle, captain of the frigate, along with 98 officials and sailors, will pay a courtesy visit to the leaders of the municipal People’s Committee and the military commands of Navy Region 3 and Coast Guard Region 2.
The crew will engage in a broad array of activities related to fire prevention and control efforts, take part in a friendly volleyball competition with Vietnamese naval officers, and visit a number of stunning landscapes throughout Da Nang and Thua Thien-Hue province.
The visit also marks the first time that The High Command of Coast Guard Region 2 has taken part in exercises at sea with the French frigate’s crew.
The Vendemiaire is a Floreal-class frigate, measuring 93 metres in length and accommodating a crew of approximately 100 members along with a Dauphin-type helicopter.
