Exchange promotes Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia friendship
(VOV) -Around 300 Vietnamese, Lao and Cambodian students studying at Dong Nai universities and colleges gathered for the 2013 “Circle of Friends” on November 1.
The programme is a joint initiative of Dong Nai province’s Department of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU).
VYU Provincial Chairperson Nguyen Cao Cuong explained the event aims to encourage exchanges and cross-cultural knowledge among the three countries’ younger generations.
The “Circle of Friends” includes art performances, sports competitions, camping and outdoor activities, and food exchanges.
Provincial authorities alos honoured 57 outstanding students from the 2013 academic year.
More than 100 Lao and Cambodian students study in Vietnam each year.
