The awardees were from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

The awards ceremony was hosted in Hanoi on June 5 by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the International Chamber of Commerce in Asia, and the office of the International Labour Organization in Vietnam. It was part of activities for the Global Summit of Women being held in Hanoi.
