Deputy PM Tran Hong Ha directs rescue efforts after boat capsizing; 29 bodies found
VOV.VN - At around 9:30 p.m. on July 19, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha arrived at the scene of the tourist boat capsizing in Ha Long Bay and directly oversaw the ongoing rescue operations.

After a swift briefing on the situation, the Deputy PM stressed that the top priority must be to search for any remaining survivors. He instructed rescue forces to make every effort to locate all missing individuals and ensure that no victims remain unaccounted for.
By 9:15 p.m., 39 individuals had been recovered, including 10 survivors. The remaining 29 were found dead.
Maximum resources were deployed for the search and rescue efforts, including personnel and equipment from the Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command, the Border Guard Command, the provincial police, the Ha Long Bay Management Board, Naval Region 1, local professional diving teams, and various on-site rescue units.
Deputy PM Ha emphasized the need to prioritize the safety of rescue teams, calling for adequate technical conditions such as lighting, equipment, and vessel safety to ensure absolute protection for all personnel involved in the operation.
