Local businesses also provide assistance in order to give 1,000 gifts to children in unfortunate circumstances from the mountainous commune of Hoa Bac in Hoa Vang district, along with child patients at the Oncology Hospital in the central city of Da Nang. Can Tho’s Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs holds an annual Full Moon Festival celebration specifically for underprivileged ethnic children from O Mon district. The organisers hand out over 600 gifts costing VND200,000 each, 600 mooncakes, and 600 lanterns for children as they join in the parade.
