China’s naval fleet visits Ho Chi Minh City

VOV.VN - A Chinese naval fleet on May 6 arrived in Ho Chi Minh City’s International Port, beginning a four-day friendship visit to Vietnam.

The visit was designed to promote ties between the two armies and the two naval forces as a contribution to strengthening the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

The fleet includes missile destroyer Changchun and missile frigate Jingzhou with an over-500-member crew led by Rear Admiral Shen Hao.

During their stay in Ho Chi Minh City, the Chinese officers are scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to leaders of the municipal People’s Committee, and visit the Military Region 7 High Command, Naval Region 2 and Naval Brigade 171.
