Anti-State instigator arrested in southern Vietnam
VOV.VN - A 62-year-old woman hailing from the southern province of An Giang has been detained on a charge of carrying out activities aimed at overthrowing the people’s government.
According to initial investigations, Le Thi Kim Phi used her Facebook account Phi Kim to connect a number of Facebook accounts of the reactionary organization The Provisional National Government of Vietnam from September to December 2020.
On January 1, she registered to join the outlawed organisation and was then tasked with drumming up and enticing other people to join the organisation.
She has since monitored, commented and shared articles, video clips and images on her Facebook account Phi Kim against the Party and State of Vietnam.
Police and investigators have managed to retrieve six video clips and 440 pages of documents that contain contents aimed at overthrowing the government.
Further investigation is underway.
